Troop Policy
- No one under 18 years of age is allowed to drive ANY scout, other than himself, to, during, or home from ANY scout activity or function. This includes, but is not limited to: camps, meetings, fundraisers, service projects, Eagle projects, etc.
- This policy takes effect immediately as of January 18, 2001 as deemed by the Committee of Troop 1381 of Christ the Good Shepherd
- Criteria used to decide if a scout wishes to become a troop leader after he turns 18 years of age:
- Leadership
- A consistent desire to help other leaders and scouts.
- Has been very active in the troop.
- Has been a positive influence at activities and with the scouts.
- Has demonstrated an ability to be a role model for the scouts.
- Has followed the Scout Law and Oath in his everyday life.
- The scout will fill out an application to be an adult leader. This application, Like all applications, will be reviewed by the Troop Committee and approved or disapproved by the Committee Chairman.
- This policy will take effect immediately, as of April 9, 2001
- No boy is to bring any kind of insect repellent or any other type of pressurized or flammable item to any Scout activity. The Troop will provide a non-aerosol type that will only be dispensed by an adult.
- All flammable items (charcoal lighter fluid, small propane canisters, etc.) will be locked up at all times on al campouts and will only be dispensed by an adult. No exceptions.
- Until further notice, on all campouts, there will be only one fire that both the adults and boys will share.
